RC Oldfants opgeheven

Gisteren is onderstaand bericht tot ons gekomen:

Hallo rugbyvrienden,

Helaas heeft RC Oldfants geen spelers meer, en hebben we dus afgelopen ALV besloten om de club officieel op te heffen. Natuurlijk kan dat niet zomaar met een sisser..

In juni wordt daarom nog een keer een groots rugbyfeest gegeven, en we willen er ook nog een leuke pot rugby van maken. Aangezien we natuurlijk erg close met jullie zijn, willen we jullie uitnodigen om nog een keer het glas met ons te heffen.

Het bestuur van de Vets vraagt dan ook de spelers en overige leden van de Vets om zaterdag 9 juni als rugby-dag te noteren in hun agenda. Verdere info volgt zodra deze bekend is. Het zou mooi zijn wanneer we als Vets met een compleet team vertegenwoordigd kunnen zijn op deze dag. Het beloofd een mooie rugbydag te worden met clubs als PSV, Elephants, Vets en de Oldfants zelf!

    Spelers reageer even op de mail die je vandaag gekregen hebt dan kunnen we kijken of het haalbaar is met een team deel te nemen aan deze mooie dag. Ik wil graag mee spelen als mijn knie dat goed vind.

    E: The menu is limited, but offers an array of Korean combos with rice, rolls and meat including Bi Bim Bap, Dub Bap and more. However, their bread and butter (what a perfectly inappropriate idiom here) is the kamjatang or the Korean pork bone soup. This spicy soup is their recommended and main menu item. It is priced at $7.50. They offer ramen on the menu too at $6 (take that, competition! Down the road Niwatei has a sign on its door saying prices have increased due to hydro and other costs and $11 ramen is now commonplace). Granted Woodpecker’s ramen is likely ramyeon, which is spicy and had the ‘hot’ symbol next to it and has more vegetables, but regardless the price is amazing. It is something I should try. bulgogi dupbap or ‘covered rice bowl with beef’) consisting of rice, broccoli, mushrooms, onion and a small egg all nicely sauced and garnished with sesame. Like most items on the menu it is $7 (dolsotbulgogi is $8 and la kal bi beef ribs are $10) and comes as a combo with banchan, soup and tea. It is one of the odd non spicy food items, but the kimchi in the banchan had plenty of spice to compensate. The banchan was tasty and comprised of cucumbers, sprouts and kimchi on a small plate. The soup looked dull, light and lifeless like the complimentary tea, but owing to the green onions and sprouts in it was instead tasty and refreshing. Not drinking tea I did not touch the included cup and instead had water for $1. Everything was delicious.
